In short

To edit a photo with Gemini without the Gemini app, upload it here and type the change, for example “give her a red knit beanie”. The free standard edit uses Google’s Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite Image (Nano Banana 2 Lite); for big scene changes, pick Gemini 3.1 Flash Image (Nano Banana 2) for 2 credits. There’s no Google account to sign in to, no visible watermark, and the photo isn’t saved.

Before and after

Results from this editor

Sample photos are AI-generated and show fictional people. Results are unretouched output from the editor.

How to

Three steps

  1. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP photo (or tap a sample).
  2. Type the change the way you’d ask Gemini.
  3. Press Develop (free standard edit), or pick Nano Banana 2 for bigger changes.

Gemini prompts that work for photo editing

GoalType this
Outfitgive her a red knit beanie and a cream wool scarf
Interiormake the sofa dark green velvet and add a tall leafy plant in the corner
Lightrelight it with bright morning sun coming through the window
Seasonmake it a snowy winter evening with warm street lights
Productput the sneaker on a wet black rock by the sea at sunset, like a product ad
Cleanupremove the cables and the coffee cup from the desk

Name the one thing to change and what it should become. Short, concrete instructions beat long descriptions; the editor already tells the model to keep faces, framing and everything else the same.

Lite vs. full Gemini image model

The free edit’s Lite model did well on outfits, interiors and relighting, and missed big scene swaps in our tests. Those are where the 2-credit Nano Banana 2 button is worth it.

Frequently asked questions

Is this made by Google?

No. We’re an independent editor that sends your photo to Google’s Gemini image models through OpenRouter, alongside ByteDance’s Seedream 4.5. We’re not affiliated with Google.

Why use this instead of the Gemini app?

No sign-in for the free edit, no visible watermark, a before/after slider, a choice of models per edit, and your photo isn’t saved.

Which model should I pick?

Small edits (clothes, objects, light, colour): start with the free standard edit (Nano Banana 2 Lite). Big scene changes: Nano Banana 2 keeps your framing best. For the most dramatic light and 2K output: Seedream 4.5. In our five tests the Lite model missed two big scene changes; both 2-credit models got all five.

What does it cost?

One free standard edit per day without an account. After that, credits: a standard edit is 1 credit and Nano Banana 2 or Seedream 4.5 is 2 credits. Packs start at $9.90 for 120 credits, so a 2-credit edit is about 14–17¢. Failed edits are refunded automatically.

Is it really free without sign-up?

Yes. Every visitor gets one free standard edit per day with no account, email or card. More edits use credits: packs start at $9.90 for 120 credits (about 8¢ an edit), and a standard edit costs 1 credit.

Do you keep my photos?

No. Your photo is sent to the AI model only to make the edit, then discarded. We never store the photo or the result on our servers, and we never use them for training. The edited photo is returned straight to your browser.
